This illustration is inspired by Rothenburg ob der Tauber, a lovely town in Bavaria, Germany. The romantic medieval town is home to the famous Christmas store Käthe Wohlfahrt, which has an amazing history and tradition of creating Christmas decorations since 1977.

Initial ink drawing with a few watercolor accents

I was invited to create a magic drawing for "The Giving World Book" as one of the 26 illustrators worldwide selected to participate. Imagine a world full of adventures, a dense forest of magic where the moon is your only guide. Curious where the river will take you?

An example of how I build my illustrations: I start in black and white, then add the watercolor shades and accents to give them life and vibrance.

I was commissioned to create 15 ink and watercolor illustrations for the new office building of Allianz in the center of Bucharest. Each drawing is inspired from the iconic monuments and buildings of Bucharest, each visible from the windows of the beautiful office space.

Romanian Opera

I created this illustration for a wooden puzzle. Prague castle is surrounded by colorful and mystical buildings, covered in a cotton candy fog. 

I loved the beautiful yet imposing buildings from the city center and the chain bridges over the Vltava river. The swans, the little streets that went up to the medieval castle, the charming Art Nouveau buildings, and the timeless art of Alphonse Mucha took me back in time and filled my heart with magic.

Inspired by the Romanian folklore, this illustration was created to be printed on beautifully crafted leather children's bags.

Veronica, the little girl, discovered she was able to fly with her tiny magic bag. All of the stories, surrounded by charm and tradition, reveal the fascinating Romanian folklore.

A cute little fox and other tiny friends

Cover of the guided journal and coloring book depicting a fantasy typewriter where you can type flowers instead of words. Adding watercolor splashes to the illustration gave the illustration a final touch of life and spark.

This coloring book was designed to help kids learn English and offer them a fun activity with their parents or their friends.

Cover drawing for the “Eloquent JavaScript” book, that depicts a secretary bird. The book included a total of twenty black and white illustrations. 

I was commissioned to create an ink illustration for YKK, the world's biggest zipper company. I divided Darth Vader's appearance into two parts by a zipper. One side with a dark black background, and the lighter side, made of decorative and floral elements.

This is a special illustration I created for an article named "Don't step on Tolstoi".

I drew my inspiration from the Russian braids, the Matryoshka dolls, the towers of St. Basil's Cathedral in Moscow, and of course, books. The title comes from "Te iubesc", which means "I love you" in Romanian.
