This illustration is inspired by Rothenburg ob der Tauber, a lovely town in Bavaria, Germany. The romantic medieval town is home to the famous Christmas store Käthe Wohlfahrt, which has an amazing history and tradition of creating Christmas decorations since 1977.

I loved the beautiful yet imposing buildings from the city center and the chain bridges over the Vltava river. The swans, the little streets that went up to the medieval castle, the charming Art Nouveau buildings, and the timeless art of Alphonse Mucha took me back in time and filled my heart with magic.

I was commissioned to create an ink illustration for YKK, the world's biggest zipper company. I divided Darth Vader's appearance into two parts by a zipper. One side with a dark black background, and the lighter side, made of decorative and floral elements.

This is a special illustration I created for an article named "Don't step on Tolstoi".
I drew my inspiration from the Russian braids, the Matryoshka dolls, the towers of St. Basil's Cathedral in Moscow, and of course, books. The title comes from "Te iubesc", which means "I love you" in Romanian.
